
Central Asian countries are planning to increase mutual trade to $20 billion and establish production under the "Made in Central Asia" brand. This information was announced by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
This issue was discussed during the first meeting of the Council of Trade Ministers of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, held in Tashkent. The event aimed to strengthen trade and regional cooperation across various economic sectors.
The meeting highlighted the growth in trade volume between Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. In 2017, this figure was $3.2 billion, but by 2024, it had reached $6.9 billion.
Specifically, trade turnover with Kazakhstan neared $4 billion, with Kyrgyzstan reached $700 million, with Tajikistan exceeded $570 million, and with Turkmenistan more than doubled in the last five years to $1.15 billion. Trade volume with Azerbaijan grew by 13% since the beginning of the year.
At the end of the meeting, participants signed a communiqué that included agreements on strengthening economic cooperation and expanding partnerships.
