Saida Mirziyoyeva meets with business delegation from Utah, USA

On November 12, Chief of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva met with a business delegation from the U.S. state of Utah, led by David Bednar. During the meeting, it was noted that a new phase in Uzbekistan-U.S. relations has begun.

The decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to introduce visa-free travel for U.S. citizens was highlighted as an important step in expanding business and humanitarian ties.

“Now, under the presidential decree, the U.S.-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council is being established, and to coordinate its activities, a Counselor-Minister position is being introduced within Uzbekistan's embassy in the United States. Additionally, based on this decree, residents of Uzbekistan will be able to freely transfer funds from their accounts in Uzbek banks to establish enterprises in the U.S., participate in their capital, or finance their branches,” Saida Mirziyoyeva wrote.

It was emphasized that this is an important step towards enhancing the external economic activity of entrepreneurs, strengthening investment cooperation with the U.S., and shaping a new image of Uzbekistan as an open and modern economy.
