Erdogan made a humorous remark about Macron

At an important meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a humorous comment about French leader Emmanuel Macron.

According to journalist Ragip Soylu, when the two leaders greeted each other, one asked the other how things were going. Macron, smiling, replied: “I’m happy.” Erdogan then jokingly commented: “So, there are times when he works well too.”

Soylu described the situation as “an awkward encounter between Erdogan and Macron.”
