82-year-old pilot dies in plane crash in Lithuania

One person died as a result of a light aircraft crash in Lithuania, the Delfi news agency reported.
According to reports, the two-seater Ukrainian-made Aeroprakt A-22 aircraft crashed near the village of Rokonyay in the Radviliskis district. The plane was piloted by its 82-year-old owner, Kazimiyeras Masilyonis.
The pilot died at the scene of the accident. A female passenger on the plane was injured and hospitalized.
Preliminary information suggests the plane crashed while attempting to land near a small airfield used by amateur aviation enthusiasts.
