Which banknotes are most used in Uzbekistan?

The share of 1,000-soum banknotes in circulation is only 0.6%, reports jurnalistuz. This suggests that they are rarely used and may soon disappear from circulation.
According to the infographic, the most widely used banknotes are 100,000 soums (40.9%) and 200,000 soums (23.4%). Additionally, 50,000-soum banknotes hold a significant share of transactions, accounting for 16.6%.
Experts believe this trend is driven by inflation and an increasing demand for higher-denomination banknotes. Smaller banknotes remain in circulation mainly for transportation fares and small daily transactions.
