Trade between Uzbekistan and Turkey shows significant growth

Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey is consistently expanding. According to the National Statistics Committee, the foreign trade turnover between the two countries reached 653.4 million USD in January–March 2026.

This figure represents an increase of 42.7 million USD, or 7%, compared to the same period in 2025. Thus, trade relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey maintain a stable growth rate.

In the first quarter of this year, Uzbekistan's exports to Turkey amounted to 231.6 million USD, while imports reached 421.8 million USD. The total foreign trade turnover was 653.4 million USD.

The number of enterprises operating with Turkish capital in Uzbekistan remains high. As of April 1, 2026, there are 2,186 companies operating in our country with Turkish investment.

Additionally, the volume of foreign investments and loans absorbed into fixed capital from Turkey reached 655.2 million USD. This indicator shows that not only trade but also investment cooperation between the two countries is actively developing.

There is also significant activity in tourism. In January–March 2026, 39,445 tourists arrived in Uzbekistan from Turkey. During the same period, 52,199 citizens traveled from Uzbekistan to Turkey for tourism purposes.

Educational exchanges are also ongoing. While 423 citizens came from Turkey to Uzbekistan for study, 527 people traveled from Uzbekistan to Turkey for educational purposes.

In short, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey is actively growing in trade, investment, tourism, and education. The figures show one thing: relations between the two countries are not just diplomatic rhetoric, but are becoming real economic action.
