X-rays of legendary actress Marilyn Monroe put up for auction

Personal items belonging to the legendary American actress Marilyn Monroe have been put up for sale at an auction organized to mark the 100th anniversary of her birth.

A total of 190 lots are presented at the auction. Among them are the actress's letters, documents, film scripts, cosmetics, jewelry, and medical X-rays.

According to reports, Marilyn Monroe's chest X-ray taken in 1954 is valued at $2,250, and her pelvic X-ray at $1,250.

This situation has sparked intense debate on social media. Many users consider it ethically inappropriate to put a person's private medical records up for sale.
