World champions were solemnly welcomed in Tashkent

The World Boxing Championships for adults took place in Liverpool, England, from September 4th to 14th. At this prestigious competition, the national team of Uzbekistan achieved a historic result, winning 6 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Today, on the morning of September 16, heroes of our country returned to their Homeland. The champions were solemnly welcomed at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport by the Minister of Sports, Adham Ikramov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, Saken Polatov, the Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Sherzod Toshmatov, as well as officials, the media, and the parents of the winners.

At the solemn welcoming ceremony, officials warmly congratulated our boxers and wished them to uphold the honor of our country in such important competitions and raise our flag high. At the end, the winners and prize-winners were presented with gold robes and flowers.

It should be recalled that the national team of Uzbekistan under the leadership of Tulkin Kilichev won 1st place in the team competition with 6 gold medals in the men\'s competition. In the overall standings, our representatives took second place after Kazakhstan.

Thus, Uzbek boxing once again achieved a high result on the world stage, leaving a bright mark on the history of our country\'s sports.
