Chelsea wants to buy a new defender

London football club "Chelsea" is planning to buy a new central defender in order to strengthen its defensive line. This was reported by Football Insider.

According to the source, signing a new defender is a priority for head coach Enzo Maresca. At the same time, the "Blues" are ready to sell Trevoh Chalobah, who is not part of their long-term plans.

In the 2025/26 season, Chalobah played in 12 matches across all competitions and scored 2 goals. The 26-year-old defender's current contract runs until 2028.

The Transfermarkt portal values Chalobah at 32 million euros.
