Pedri was injured and suspended

Last weekend, Barcelona lost 1:2 away to Real Madrid. In the final minutes of El Clásico, the Blaugrana midfielder Pedri received a second yellow card and was sent off.

Because of this, the 22-year-old player will miss the next La Liga match due to suspension. In addition, according to the newspaper ARA, Pedri suffered a muscle injury and, for this reason, trained in the gym on Wednesday as part of a recovery program.

Besides missing the match against Elche, the midfielder is also expected to be sidelined for the Champions League game against Brugge and the La Liga match against Celta.
