Genoa defeated Sassuolo

In Serie A matchday 10, Sassuolo hosted Genoa on their home ground. During the match, the hosts had an advantage in terms of ball possession, but goal-scoring chances were equal.

In the 18th minute, Genoa player Ruslan Malinovskyi powerfully struck the ball into the net following a corner kick – 0:1. In the 47th minute, right after the break, the hosts equalized also from a corner kick.

Domenico Berardi accurately placed the ball into the goal – 1:1. However, in added time, Genoa player Leo Estigor headed in a goal from an Aaron Caricol cross, giving his team their first win of the season – 1:2.

This victory helped Genoa climb off the bottom of the league table to reach 17th place. Sassuolo, meanwhile, remained in 10th place.
