John Terry Names England Football Legend

Former Chelsea defender John Terry has revealed who he considers the greatest English footballer in Premier League history. Terry's choice is Wayne Rooney, who played for Manchester United and Everton.

"In my opinion, Rooney is the greatest English footballer ever to play in the Premier League. He was phenomenal, but he doesn’t get enough credit.

He has accomplished so many remarkable things," Terry said in an interview with UtdDistrict. Wayne Rooney appeared in 491 Premier League matches, scoring 208 goals.

He became a five-time Premier League champion and began his professional career in 2002. Rooney retired from professional football in 2021.
