Van Dijk Says Netherlands Is Ready for the World Cup
The Netherlands national team has taken an important step toward qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A 1-1 draw against Poland has all but secured the "Oranje" their ticket to the tournament.

A key point came from a goal scored by Memphis Depay in the 47th minute of the match. While the ticket is not yet officially secured, the situation is almost certain: the team, led by Ronald Koeman, is three points ahead of Poland before the final round and has a significant goal difference advantage (+19 versus +6).

"On Monday, we are ready to officially qualify for the World Cup. I hope the fans will come to the stadium to support us, and together we can celebrate this achievement," said Virgil van Dijk, captain of the Netherlands national team, to *The Touchline* publication.

In the final round of qualification, the Netherlands will host Lithuania at home.
