Abbasov: Players Will Fight Well
The head coach of the Azerbaijan national team, Ayxan Abbasov, attended a pre-match press conference dedicated to the World Cup qualifier against France. The match will take place on November 16, starting at 8:00 PM Moscow time.
"We are playing our last home match. The French national team is the group leader.
Our away game was tough, but our team showed a good performance for 70 minutes against this opponent. I believe the players will fight well," Abbasov told media.az.
The coach also highlighted some losses in the left-back position and added that one of the young players might be included in the starting lineup for this position. Azerbaijan is currently at the bottom of the group with 1 point.
Ukraine and Iceland both have 7 points, while France leads the group with 13 points.
