Croatia Overcomes Two-Goal Deficit to Make a Comeback
During the World Cup qualifying stage, the Croatian national team faced Montenegro in an away match. At the start of the game, Montenegro took a lead in the 3rd minute through Milutin Osmajic and doubled the score in the 17th minute with a goal from Nikola Krstovic, making it 2-0.

However, Croatia recovered quickly. In the 37th minute, Ivan Perisic converted a penalty, narrowing the score to 2-1.

In the second half, Montenegro created several additional dangerous opportunities but failed to score. In the 73rd minute, Croatian player Kristijan Jakic struck a goal to equalize at 2-2.

In the final minutes of the game, specifically in the 87th minute, Nikola Vlasic capitalized on an opponent's mistake and scored into the near corner, giving Croatia the lead at 3-2. Consequently, Croatia secured the victory and amassed 22 points out of a possible 24.

Montenegro, on the other hand, finished in fourth place.
