In the 18th minute, Joshua Kimmich delivered a cross into the penalty area, and Niklas Voltemade headed the ball into the left corner of the net – 1:0. Slovakia made several attempts to find the back of the net, including a long-distance shot by David Duris, but the goalkeeper managed to save the effort with difficulty.

Voltemade then created an opportunity for Serge Gnabry, whose left-wing strike was blocked by the goalkeeper using his legs. In the 29th minute, Leon Goretzka sent the ball into the penalty area, where Gnabry found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and extended the lead to 2:0.

Florian Wirtz launched a long pass from his own half to find Leroy Sané, who entered the penalty area from the right wing and placed the ball into the far corner – 3:0. In the 36th minute, under intense pressing, Milan Škriniar lost possession.

Wirtz then passed the ball to the far post, where Sané converted and brought the score to 4:0. In the middle of the second half, Voltemade made his way into the penalty area from the left wing and passed to Serge Gnabry, who set up Ridle Baku for a close-range finish – 5:0.

In the 79th minute, Sané positioned Assan Ouedraogo in a favorable spot inside the penalty area, and his shot deflected off a defender, finding its way into the far corner – 6:0. The German national team secured their spot in the World Cup after collecting 15 points out of a possible 18 in the qualification stage.
