Russia drops in FIFA rankings

In November, the Russian national team recorded disappointing results in the BetBoom friendship matches. Under the leadership of Valery Karpin, the team drew 1-1 against Peru and then suffered a 0-2 loss to Chile.

Both matches were home games for Russia. These poor results negatively impacted the Russian national team's FIFA ranking.

In the updated rankings, Russia dropped to the 33rd position. In October, the national team was at the tail end of the third decade of the rankings.

Currently, Russia is ranked between Wales (32nd) and Egypt (34th) in the FIFA rankings. The Russian national team will hold its next gathering in the spring.
