Bayern Discusses Alaba's Return
The sporting director of Bayern Munich, Christopher Freund, responded to a question about the possibility of David Alaba returning to the club. The 33-year-old Alaba's current contract with Real Madrid runs until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
When asked, "Is there a chance for Alaba to return to Bayern – in any role?" Freund answered: "For now, there is no such plan. However, during his time at Bayern, he made a significant impact on the club.
He is an excellent individual and a smart player. Even after finishing his career as a footballer, he will continue in the right direction.
But he still wants to play and intends to participate in the World Cup with the Austrian national team." Bayern Munich currently leads the German championship, leaving RB Leipzig six points behind in second place.
