Chelsea matches unique Premier League record


In the 12th round of the English Premier League, London’s Chelsea defeated Burnley 2-0 in an away match. According to OptaJoe, Chelsea has become the second team in Premier League history to play 50 consecutive games without starting any players over the age of 30.
Previously, only Aston Villa had achieved this result. They set the record with 59 games from September 2012 to January 2014.
After 12 rounds, Chelsea sits in second place in the Premier League standings with 23 points, trailing the leading team by three points. In the next round, Enzo Maresca's team will host Arsenal at home.
