Elche Coach Criticizes Referees

Elche coach dissatisfied with referees
Elche club's head coach, Eder Sarabia, harshly criticized the officiating in the match against Real Madrid. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The home team took the lead in the 53rd minute and again late in the game, in the 84th minute, but Real Madrid managed to equalize on both occasions. A particularly controversial incident occurred between Vinícius Júnior and Elche goalkeeper Iñaki Peña: before scoring the second goal, the Brazilian player hit Peña in the face, but the referee did not call a foul in this situation.

"I am absolutely dissatisfied with this draw. Vinícius clearly played rough against Peña.

You can see that he was struck in the face, leaving a mark on Iñaki's nose. The refereeing significantly impacted the result, and I am very angry about it," Sarabia said in his post-match interview.

Additionally, despite conceding two goals, Elche goalkeeper Peña was named the best player of the match.
