Bayern Munich's head coach Vincent Kompany shared his thoughts on the congested schedule during the Christmas and New Year period in England. "In my 13 years in England, I never had a winter break or holiday.

During this period, everything continues as usual for football players in England. The number of matches even increases and it carries on like this until the World Cup.

There was a time when I rested only six days throughout the entire year," Reddit quoted Kompany as saying. Bayern Munich began their winter break as solid leaders in the Bundesliga standings.

The Munich club is nine points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund (41 to 32 points).
