Roma beat Genoa quickly to break into the top four

In the 17th round of Serie A, in a match in Rome, Roma started at a very high tempo and managed to tilt the result in their favor within the opening minutes. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
In the 14th minute, after a mistake in Genoa’s defense, Matias Soule took advantage: a passing lane opened up, the shot took a deflection, leaving the goalkeeper wrong-footed, and it became 1–0. Soon after, Evan Ferguson launched another dangerous attack and struck from the edge of the box, but the keeper pushed it out for a corner.
In the 19th minute, the Romans were clinical again: a cross from the right found the center, Ferguson laid the ball off to Kua’dio Kone, who picked out the right corner — 2–0. In the 31st minute, Roma punished their opponents for the third time: Soule won the ball with pressing, was unlucky in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but Ferguson was first to the rebound to make it 3–0.
Roma continued to control the game in the second half. After a Ferguson pass, Bryan Cristante hit a powerful first-time shot from near the edge of the area, but the goalkeeper leapt to tip it out for a corner. Late on, in the 87th minute, Genoa pulled one back: Jeff Ehator shot from the left flank, the ball struck Nicolo Pisilli’s chest, changed direction and went in — 3–1.
With this win, Roma moved ahead of Juventus in the standings and climbed to fourth place. Genoa, meanwhile, stayed close to the relegation zone, just above the danger line.
