Bayern Munich to make a firm decision regarding Alphonso Davies

Debates continue over whether Alphonso Davies will participate in the World Cup due to his injury. The Bayern Munich board has decided to take full control of the situation to avoid misunderstandings with the Canadian Soccer Association. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
According to the club's medical staff, the left-back will be sidelined for approximately six weeks due to a serious hamstring injury. This timeframe virtually rules out the player's participation in the tournament, although doctors for the Canada national team remain optimistic about a faster recovery.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl emphasized that the club is attempting to resolve the situation diplomatically. According to him, all parties will cooperate to enable Davies' participation in the tournament, provided the primary condition—the player's full recovery—is met.
The club's firm stance on this matter is not without reason. When Davies suffered a cruciate ligament injury in March 2025, Bayern harshly criticized the Canadian Soccer Association, accusing them of endangering the player's health by fielding him while injured.
