Atletico Madrid joins the race for the German youth international star

A real transfer battle is heating up for Nicolo Tresoldi: according to Sky, Atletico Madrid is showing serious interest in signing the German youth international striker. In recent weeks, top European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, and Tottenham have been linked with the 21-year-old forward. This is reported by Goal.com .

Tresoldi began his career at the Hannover 96 academy. Last summer, Club Brugge signed him for 7.5 million euros, and the player immediately made an impact. Across all competitions, he has made 56 appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists. His current contract runs until 2029, and the Belgian club is demanding at least 30 million euros for the transfer.

Born in Cagliari in 2004, Tresoldi moved to Germany with his family in 2017. In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, he spoke about his dream club: "Playing for Milan is my biggest dream. I wake up every morning with that goal, and it motivates me to work hard," says the striker.

Internationally, Tresoldi is eligible to play for Argentina, Italy, or Germany, but he currently represents Germany. Having scored 12 goals in 24 youth international matches, many experts believe it is time for him to be called up to the senior national team under Julian Nagelsmann.

If he joins Atletico Madrid, he will face stiff competition in the attack from players like Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth. However, with Antoine Griezmann expected to leave for Orlando City in the summer, Tresoldi's chances of securing a spot in the starting lineup could increase.
