Harry Kane outlines his terms for contract extension with Bayern

The DFB-Pokal final hero Harry Kane has stated that negotiations regarding a contract extension with Bayern are not yet in the final stages. The striker, who scored a hat-trick in the Munich side's 3-0 victory over Stuttgart, shared his plans for the future. The 32-year-old, whose current deal runs until 2027, did not hide that he is on the verge of signing one of the final major contracts of his career. This is reported by Goal.com .
"At this stage of my career, I want to get the most out of a new contract. This will be one of the last deals I sign as a player," said Kane. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that negotiations will intensify after the season ends. The club's management aims to finalize the agreement before the start of the World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico in mid-June.
However, Harry Kane tempered expectations regarding a quick resolution. According to him, now is not the right time for negotiations, and both parties are approaching the situation calmly. The striker expressed his intention to finish the season first, followed by the World Cup. Kane added that his relationship with the club is excellent and he is open to dialogue with the management.
For context, Harry Kane was transferred from Tottenham in 2023 for nearly 100 million euros. He is currently the team's highest-paid player with an annual salary of 25 million euros. According to Kicker, the club's management is considering a two-year extension, while the player himself prefers a deal running until 2030.
Former player Dietmar Hamann urged the club to be cautious regarding a long-term contract. In his opinion, given that Kane is turning 33, a three-year deal could be a risk. Hamann considers a one or two-year extension a more acceptable option. Nevertheless, Harry Kane has been recording high productivity throughout his three seasons with the German record champions.
