How Declan Rice waited for Arsenal's title win

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has revealed the nerves he experienced while waiting for his team to potentially win the Premier League after a 22-year drought. The English international admitted he couldn't handle the pressure of watching the decisive Manchester City match and had to leave the training ground. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

While the entire squad was watching the Manchester City vs Bournemouth game on TV at London Colney, Declan Rice walked around the training pitches with a security guard to distract himself. According to him, he spent most of the game walking around the field to calm his nerves and only went inside when goals were scored.

Bukayo Saka recalled his teammate's actions with a laugh: "This guy walked around the training ground about 12 times. We were all glued to the TV, but he couldn't watch. It was quite funny." Rice called these moments the most emotional of his career and emphasized that he joined Arsenal specifically to win trophies.

The title celebrations were not limited to the training base. Bukayo Saka said that he and several other players headed to Emirates Stadium in the middle of the night, where they met fans who had been celebrating until dawn. "The whole night was special. I didn't want to sleep, and there was no need to," Saka added.
