Tyson Fury and Zlatan Ibrahimovic interested in buying Morecambe FC

Heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson Fury and AC Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic are discussing the potential acquisition of English club Morecambe FC. Reports suggest the project is inspired by the success of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

The two stars discussed the project in detail while filming a World Cup commercial in Poland. Ibrahimovic became close friends with Fury during his time playing for Manchester United. Now, they are planning not only to buy the club but also to produce a documentary for Netflix titled "Rise of Morecambe".

Tyson Fury posted a photo on social media with his manager Spencer Brown, hinting at big news coming soon. Zlatan Ibrahimovic also shared photos with Fury, capturing fans' attention. The former Swedish striker recently confirmed he would start working as an expert for Fox Sports.

Morecambe is no stranger to Fury. In 2020, the boxer purchased a building near the club's Mazuma Stadium, where he established his main training base and the Tyson Fury Foundation. Therefore, taking ownership of the club is seen as a logical step for Fury.

If this deal goes through, it will be the biggest project for Zlatan Ibrahimovic since retiring from professional football. The Wrexham experience has shown that the arrival of world-class stars at lower-league clubs can significantly boost a team's global profile and revenue.
