Why Harry Kane is not extending his contract with Bayern after 61 goals

England captain Harry Kane has decided to delay contract extension talks after a stellar season with Bayern. The striker, who has broken records in Munich, wants to make a final decision on his future after the World Cup. The player has stated he is not yet ready to sit at the negotiating table with club management, reports Goal.com reports .
The former Tottenham star ended his season in Germany by winning the DFB-Pokal in Berlin. Although Bayern fans want the 32-year-old striker to stay longer, Kane is taking a calm approach. His current focus is on winning on the international stage with the England national team.
In an interview with Sky Sport DE, Kane said: “Now is not the time to talk about it, there is no need to panic. We agreed to postpone negotiations until the end of the season, and the World Cup is ahead. Everyone knows how much I enjoy playing here. The situation is stable.” This statement confirms that the national team's interests are currently the player's priority.
Following Kane's phenomenal form, reports emerged that Barcelona is considering him as a primary candidate to replace Robert Lewandowski. However, Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness dismissed these rumors. In his characteristically blunt tone, he emphasized that Barcelona lacks the funds to complete such a major transfer.
Club management has no intention of selling the striker who scored 61 goals in 51 games. Hoeness called Kane the best transfer in the club's history. The Munich side is confident in keeping their star, but an official agreement is expected only after the major tournament.
