Micky van de Ven furious over Tottenham's disappointing season

Micky van de Ven has expressed his sharp dissatisfaction with the current season's results for Tottenham, who fought to avoid relegation in the Premier League. The interim captain of the team, which managed to stay in the league on the final matchday under Roberto De Zerbi, called the club's performance in the domestic championship "unacceptable" and "embarrassing." This is reported by Goal.com reports .
Tottenham secured their place in the top flight after a 1-0 victory over Everton on the final day of the season. Roberto De Zerbi managed to save the sinking ship. Spurs had only won seven of their first 31 games, but three wins and two draws in the first seven games under the Italian manager kept the team in the league.
Micky van de Ven, who wore the captain's armband in place of the injured Cristian Romero, did not hide his anger in an interview with the BBC. "It is absolutely unacceptable that we had to fight for survival on the final day of the season. This club has great players. It was embarrassing to let the situation go until the last round, but we managed it, and that is what matters," said the defender.
The author of the only goal in the match, Joao Palhinha, also shared his thoughts. The Portuguese midfielder scored the winner just before halftime after the ball rebounded off the post. He specifically praised the resilience the team showed under Roberto De Zerbi.
Tottenham's management is planning a major squad overhaul to ensure such disastrous results are not repeated next season. Micky van de Ven, a key pillar of the team, played 45 matches across all competitions, including the Champions League, scoring 7 goals and providing one assist.
