Why Declan Rice considers himself a big-game player

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice discussed his experience in big matches and the team's goals ahead of the Champions League final. Having won the Premier League title, the London club now heads to Budapest to face Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of a historic double. Although Rice previously won the Conference League as West Ham captain, he emphasized that the Champions League final would be the pinnacle of his career. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

In an interview with uefa.com, the 27-year-old player said he feels ready to play under high pressure. "I would call myself a big-game player. When you are competing in the most prestigious tournaments, every member of the team must take responsibility. We have proven in recent years, especially in the Champions League, that we can handle this. This trait will serve us well in the final," said Rice.

Throughout his career, the midfielder has experienced not only victories but also painful defeats. He noted that losing two European Championship finals with the England national team has made him stronger. According to him, every lost final increases the desire to win and will serve as extra motivation in the clash against Luis Enrique's PSG.

Having lost to the Parisian club in the semi-finals last season, Arsenal has learned from its mistakes. Rice said the main lesson from last year's defeat is to capitalize on created opportunities. "PSG is a very strong team. Last year we had many chances, but we couldn't convert them into goals. This time we want to give our all and end the season with the trophy we dream of," the player added.
