Malta citizens to receive free ChatGPT Plus subscriptions

OpenAI and the Maltese government are launching a joint program called “AI for All.” Under this initiative, citizens of the country will be able to use a one-year ChatGPT Plus subscription completely free of charge. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

To take advantage of this benefit, citizens must complete a special course on AI literacy developed by the University of Malta. The course is designed to teach the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence, as well as how to use it responsibly in daily life and work.

The first phase of the program begins in May. In the future, the educational project is planned to include Maltese citizens living abroad. OpenAI representatives noted that the project aims to make artificial intelligence a global technology accessible to everyone, much like electricity.

Maltese Minister for the Economy Silvio Schembri emphasized that the integration of education and advanced technology will provide practical support for families, students, and workers. This partnership is part of OpenAI’s “OpenAI for Countries” initiative.
