Anthropic reports its first quarterly profit

Anthropic, one of the leading startups in the field of artificial intelligence, informed its investors that it expects to more than double its revenue in the second quarter of this year, reaching approximately $10.9 billion. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is on the verge of achieving operating profit for the first time in its history. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

These financial indicators represent a significant turning point for the company. Such an acceleration in quarterly growth rates could put Anthropic in a much stronger position in its competition with its main rival, OpenAI. However, the report notes that due to massive planned computing costs throughout the year, it is possible that the company may not continue to be profitable by the end of the year.

This financial data was shared with shareholders during a recent investment round. Over the past year, the startup's popularity has increased significantly as many professionals have begun to prefer the Claude chatbot for their work.

Anthropic is also actively working on diversifying its customer base. In particular, new services for small business owners and specialized tools for law firms have been launched. Interestingly, the news about Anthropic's profit spread on the same day as rumors about OpenAI's potential upcoming IPO.

For now, Anthropic representatives have declined to provide further comment on these financial reports. Nevertheless, the success of the Claude chatbot is expected to take competition in the AI market to a new level.
