Kaspersky Lab participated in Interpol's new cyber operation

Kaspersky Lab supported Interpol in Operation Synergia, aimed at combating cybercrime in the Middle East and North Africa regions. According to the company's press service, critical information about cyber threats and attacker infrastructure was provided as part of this collaboration. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports.

As a result of this operation, 201 suspects were arrested and 382 others involved in illegal activities were identified. According to reports, nearly 4,000 people were affected by the actions of these criminals. The operation lasted from October 2025 to February 2026, with representatives from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, and 13 other countries participating.

Thanks to joint efforts, servers, websites, and devices used for phishing and financial fraud were identified and blocked. Such measures were an important step in ensuring digital security in the region.

Yuliya Shlichkova, Vice President of Public Affairs at Kaspersky Lab, noted that Operation Synergia once again proved that the union of law enforcement agencies and private companies allows for the dismantling of large and complex cybercrime networks.
