Air quality in Tashkent drops to “moderate” again
On May 30, air quality in Tashkent was once again classified as “moderate,” Nova24.uz reported, citing IQAir data. The concentration of PM2.5 particles reached 22 µg/m³, which is 5.2 times higher than the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommended limit.
As of 08:00, ozone and PM10 levels remained within acceptable limits. However, PM2.5 levels were 4.4 times above WHO standards. Overall, the air quality in the city was rated as moderate.
It is worth noting that according to IQAir’s 2024 report, Uzbekistan was not included in the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards.
