Most Japanese visit Uzbekistan for travel purposes

According to the State Committee on Statistics, 10,000 Japanese citizens visited Uzbekistan in the first five months of 2025, reported UPL.uz.

This figure is 3,500 more than the same period in 2024 — an increase of 53.2%.

The purposes of Japanese citizens visiting Uzbekistan were distributed as follows:
• Travel — 8,950 people
• Visiting relatives — 751 people
• Business trip — 286 people
• Education — 36 people
• Entrepreneurship — 1 person
