President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Kuwait on February 17 at the invitation of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Sabah.

The head of state was met at Kuwait International Airport by Emir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah and other officials.

In honor of the visit of the leader of Uzbekistan, an honor guard was formed, the national flags were raised, and the anthems of the two countries were played.

Our President passed by the honor guard. Then the heads of state greeted members of official delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

A brief conversation between the leaders took place at the airport\'s Amir Terminal.


Today, the President of Uzbekistan and the Emir of Kuwait will hold high-level talks. The summit agenda includes issues of further strengthening friendly and multifaceted partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, expanding cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment-financial and cultural-humanitarian spheres.


It is planned to adopt a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements at the end of the events.
