RBK has published a ranking of countries with the largest gold reserves. According to it, the United States is leading in this ranking by a large margin - 8133.46 tons.

The next three are occupied by European countries - Germany (3351.53 tons), Italy (2451.84) and France (2437). Russia also entered the top 5 - 2335.9 tons.

China (2279.56) - sixth, Switzerland (1039.94) - seventh, India (876.18) - eighth, Japan (845.97) - ninth, the Netherlands (612.45) - tenth.

Yesterday, March 15, the price of gold exceeded $3,000 per ounce (31.1 grams) for the first time in history.
