Drone threat in Sochi: tourists evacuated from beach

In Sochi, Russia, tourists were urgently evacuated from beaches to safe areas due to the threat of drone attacks. Mayor Andrey Proshunin announced that residents were advised to stay in windowless rooms and avoid going outside as much as possible.
Schools, beaches, and open swimming pools are being cleared, including vacationers near the Olympic facilities in the “Sirius” area. At Sochi Airport, restrictions have been placed on takeoffs and landings, with dozens of flights delayed.
The “Psoy” border checkpoint with Abkhazia has also been temporarily closed. Authorities urged citizens not to record videos showing air defense operations or falling drone debris.
