The US is building a "smart wall" on the border with Mexico

The United States has launched a project to build a modern \"smart wall\" along the border with Mexico. According to Newsmax, the Donald Trump administration has allocated $4.5 billion for this purpose and signed ten construction contracts.
According to the information, the agreements concluded between September 15-30 are being implemented within the framework of the \"One Big Beautiful Bill\" law. In accordance with it, it is planned to build a 370-kilometer fence and 640-kilometer technological infrastructure.
The \"Smart Wall\" system, unlike traditional barriers, is equipped with steel structures, patrol routes, lighting equipment, cameras, and sensors. This technology allows real-time monitoring of cases of illegal border crossing.
The Customs and Border Service statement emphasized that this project represents a significant step towards fulfilling the Trump administration\'s promises to strengthen border security.
As a reminder, Trump announced his intention to stop illegal entry into the US and restrict the flow of immigrants during his inauguration and declared a state of emergency on the southern border.
According to experts, the new \"smart wall\" will significantly reduce migration and smuggling cases by combining physical barrier with digital control.
