Pakistan and Afghanistan begin peace talks

Pakistan and Afghanistan have started peace talks in Doha after a week of armed clashes. During the talks, the ceasefire period was extended. Dozens of people were killed and hundreds were injured in the clashes.
The talks are focusing on resolving the border situation through peaceful means.
Pakistan accused Afghanistan of sheltering militants on its territory. Kabul denied the accusations and, in turn, accused Pakistan of striking its territory.
The Afghan government said Pakistan carried out airstrikes despite the ceasefire agreement. Pakistan said the strikes targeted only militant groups.
