The Alpinist Who Conquered Everest With His Hands

Rustam Nabiyev has gone down in history as a shining example of human will and resilience. He became one of the first people to conquer the world's highest point, the 8,848-meter Mount Everest, using only his hands.

In 2015, Rustam Nabiyev lost both legs after a military barracks collapsed in Omsk. Despite this, he did not give up on life; instead, he committed himself more seriously to sports and mountaineering. He set ambitious goals and began conquering various famous peaks around the world.

The journey to Everest was particularly complex and dangerous. During the climb, which lasted over a week, he navigated glaciers, steep cliffs, and the 'death zone' at an altitude of 8,400 meters using only his hands. In this area, oxygen deprivation and extreme weather conditions are a major test for any climber.

Despite all the hardships, on May 20, Rustam Nabiyev successfully reached the summit of Everest. His achievement is significant not only in sports history but also as an inspiring story about the power of the human spirit.
