A Mother’s Love (Story)

One cold winter day, a woman went to the market to buy food for her children. Though she was tired, she firmly held her bags and walked home.

On the way, she saw a little boy. He was not wearing warm clothes and was shivering from the cold. The woman approached him with a gentle smile.

— Little one, is someone waiting for you? — she asked.

The boy shook his head.

— Where is your mother?

He lowered his gaze and whispered:

— I don’t have a mother…

The woman’s heart ached. She took off her coat and gloves, gave them to the boy, and then took him to a market café for a warm meal.

Years passed. That boy grew up into a kind and compassionate person. He never forgot the kindness of that stranger who had warmed not just his body, but also his heart.

A mother’s love should reach not only her own children but also every child in need of warmth.
