Centrum Air flight delayed due to lightning strike

Centrum Air airline announced a mandatory delay of its Tashkent — Guangzhou — Tashkent flight. The cause was a lightning strike on the aircraft during its previous flight. This was reported by Uzdaily.uz reports .

In accordance with aviation safety standards, the aircraft was immediately taken out of service. Specialists conducted a full technical inspection, diagnostics, and necessary repairs. Based on the inspection results, the company decided to use a different aircraft on this route to ensure safety.

These changes led to a delay of the return flight scheduled for May 16. According to the airline, during the waiting period, passengers were accommodated in a hotel and provided with three hot meals a day.

According to the new schedule, the flight's departure from Guangzhou is set for May 18 at 20:25 local time. The aircraft's arrival in Tashkent is planned for May 19 at 00:50.
