HYPE ETFs captured 1% of market capitalization in the first 10 days

According to Kairos Research, Hyperliquid (HYPE) spot ETFs attracted 1.04% of the asset's total market capitalization in the first 10 days of trading. This figure was recorded as one of the strongest debuts in the crypto ETF market. Researchers compared the net flows into new spot crypto ETFs relative to each asset's market cap at launch. This was reported by Cointelegraph.com .

Using this methodology, HYPE ETFs significantly outperformed Bitcoin (0.59%), Ethereum (0.41%), and Solana (0.31%). Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the 21Shares Hyperliquid ETF (THYP) grew by 50% within two weeks of its launch. For comparison, it took BlackRock's IBIT fund two months to achieve a similar result.

SoSoValue data shows that HYPE ETFs attracted $6.89 million in net investment between May 12 and May 15, while by May 22, this figure rose to $68.02 million weekly. This result made HYPE the top-performing category among altcoin-based ETFs in terms of capital inflow.

At the same time, a reverse trend was observed in Bitcoin and Ethereum funds. While spot BTC ETFs saw a total outflow of $2.26 billion over two weeks, spot Ether ETFs recorded outflows of $255.11 million and $215.99 million, respectively.

Positive flows were also observed for other altcoins, though they remained lower than HYPE's figures. Specifically, in the week ending May 22, XRP ETFs received $22.04 million in investments, while Solana funds received $15.63 million.
