Russia to study Russian language promotion in Uzbekistan

Russia will assess the effectiveness of promoting the Russian language in Uzbekistan, according to Vedomosti.
The study will be conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Similar evaluations will take place in Azerbaijan, Venezuela, India, and China. Russia has allocated 34.8 million rubles (around $380,000) for this initiative.
VTsIOM will define the research method and analyze the usage indicators of Russian abroad.
Based on the findings, the center will prepare recommendations for these countries to boost the appeal of the Russian language.
