Judge assistant caught taking bribe in Jizzakh

The assistant judge of the Dostlik inter-district civil court in Jizzakh region was caught taking a bribe.

According to the information, he gained the trust of a woman living in Mirzacho‘l district and demanded 300 USD in exchange for expediting the divorce process with her husband and assisting in property division.

During a swift operation conducted by the State Security Service and the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, the assistant judge was caught red-handed accepting a bribe in his office with material evidence.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 3, Clause “v” and Article 211, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, and he has been placed under detention. Investigation procedures are ongoing.
