Driver falls asleep, causing horrific traffic accident in Samarkand

A traffic accident occurred in the Paxtachi district of the Samarkand region due to a driver falling asleep. The incident took place on May 16 at approximately 04:30 on the 118th kilometer of the M-37 "Samarkand–Bukhara–Turkmenbashi" highway.
According to reports, the driver of a "FAV" vehicle lost control while traveling in the Samarkand–Navoi direction. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the left side of a parked "Sinotruk Howo" truck.
Subsequently, the vehicle could not stop and collided with the rear of another truck parked ahead. The accident resulted in a fire breaking out in both trucks.
The fire was extinguished by Emergency Situations Ministry personnel in a short time. There were no injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident.
Currently, preliminary investigations are being conducted by the Paxtachi District Internal Affairs Department's Traffic Safety Division.
