Carlsen wins prestigious tournament, Abdusattorov takes 8th place

The “Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Paris-2025” tournament was held in Paris from April 7 to 14.

In the final, Magnus Carlsen defeated Hikaru Nakamura to win the championship and a prize of $200,000. In the match for third place, Fabiano Caruana defeated Vincent Keymer with a score of 1.5:0.5, receiving $100,000 and a ticket to the next tournament in Las Vegas.

Our compatriot Nodirbek Abdusattorov finished the tournament in 8th place and received a prize of $20,000. He was invited to the tournament only 1 day before.
