Yago Aspas sets club record with 534th appearance for Celta

Celta club forward Yago Aspas played on Thursday in the Europa League third round match against Nice. This game became his 534th appearance for the Vigo club.

According to Euro-football.ru, with this result Aspas became the footballer with the most appearances in Celta’s history. He surpassed the previous record holder, Manolo.

Manolo had once made 533 appearances for Celta. Recently, when Aspas caught up with Manolo’s record, the team captain was presented with a commemorative jersey and cake.
