Hansi Flick confirms Robert Lewandowski's departure from Barcelona

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed reports that Robert Lewandowski will leave the team at the end of the season. The Polish striker has decided to conclude his four-year tenure at the Catalan club. Flick emphasized that he respects his player's decision and believes this change is beneficial for both the player and the club. This was reported by Goal.com .
Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski previously worked together at Bayern Munich. In his interview, the coach stated: "I have won every trophy with him. It was an honor to work with him; he is a true professional and a role model for young players. He is now seeking new challenges, and we fully support his decision."
During his four seasons with Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski made 191 appearances and scored 119 goals. He won major trophies with the team, including the La Liga title and the Supercopa de España. Notably, his 42 goals in the 2024-25 season solidified his place in the club's history.
Hansi Flick admitted that replacing the striker will not be easy. "It is difficult to find a player of Robert's caliber, but we need to renew the squad. We will look at options in the transfer market; we have enough time for that," the coach said. Lewandowski is expected to feature in the starting lineup for his final matches.
